Pacing Options

Pacing Options control how lessons are distributed across your school days. Whether you need to move quickly through easy material or spend extra time on challenging subjects, pacing gives you the flexibility to match your schedule to your student's needs.

Lessons Per Day

Set how many lessons to complete each school day, from 1 to 10. This is useful for:

  • Light subjects — Set 2–3 lessons per day to move through quickly
  • Combined days — Knock out multiple lessons in a single session
  • Catch-up mode — Temporarily increase to get back on track

When set to more than 1, the calendar will show multiple lessons for each school day.

Days Per Lesson

For complex or intensive material, you can spread a single lesson across multiple school days. This is the opposite of lessons per day — instead of doing more, you take more time.

Great for:

  • Deep-dive subjects — Science experiments, art projects, or writing assignments that span several days
  • Challenging material — Give your student extra time to master difficult concepts
  • Project-based work — Multi-day projects that are tracked as a single lesson

When a lesson spans multiple days, it appears on each of those days in the calendar with a progress indicator.

Starting Lesson Number

If you're resuming a curriculum partway through (for example, starting a new school year where you left off), set the starting lesson number to skip the already-completed lessons. The schedule will begin from that lesson number and distribute the remaining lessons across your school days.

How Pacing Affects the Calendar

  • Lessons per day > 1: Multiple lessons appear on each school day, but the schedule ends sooner
  • Days per lesson > 1: Each lesson spans multiple days, and the schedule extends accordingly
  • Both settings work together with your school days and breaks to calculate the total schedule duration

Tip: You can change pacing options at any time by editing the schedule. The remaining lessons will be redistributed automatically.
